*Internet Butler

Are you tired of having to rattle off a series of letters and numbers every time one of your friends stops by and wants to join you on your porch, so that you can both scroll through Facebook – together?
Me too.

Then I realized that this technology can be used for so many other things. So I made one for my friend so that he would remember to call his mom. All he has to do is tap his phone on the wood, and his phone will bring up a dialer with his mom’s phone number already in it. How amazing is that?

AND FOR MENUS! People are touching stuff. All of the stuff. And then you go and touch the stuff. And it’s gross. So this way, the restaurants don’t have to keep purchasing disposable menus, and you don’t have to worry about whether or not the waitress, who is working 15 hour shifts because her co-workers keep calling out sick, remembered to sanitize the plastic covered menu she just handed you. WIN WIN!

Description

Behold. The Internet Butler.

Note: Please make sure that your phone is NFC enabled -OR- has a QR scanner built in (or downloaded) before purchasing. You will need to program the NFC Chip yourself, and you need to be able to detect it to do that. Instructions will be included, and no returns will be accepted if the issue is that you are unable to follow the INSANELY easy directions to program your chip. If you are limited in the technology arena, please go ahead and fill out the “Special Instructions” box before ordering, and I will work with you to have it programmed before it leaves our shop.

The Internet Butler has both tap and scan because one might assume that people of all persuasions (Apple/Android – there are really only 2 kinds of people in this world) might be showing up on your doorstep. However, the Call Your Mom Butler should really be tailored to whomever will be calling their mother (or father, or grandparents, or…whoever needs a reminder to be called). As far as the restaurant menu ones go, I have combined both tap and scan so as to leave room for other potentially pertinent information (such as a separate bar menu or a logo).
